Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- Black food coloring (optional)
- White food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and granulated sugar until well mixed.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Divide the batter into two equal parts. To one part, add cocoa powder, salt, and a few drops of black food coloring to achieve a dark, rich color.
- Mix the remaining batter without cocoa, adding white food coloring for a bright white base if desired.
- Spread the dark chocolate batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Drop spoonfuls of the white batter over the dark layer randomly.
- Use a knife or skewer to swirl the two batters gently to create a marbled effect that resembles Dalmatian spots.
- Sprinkle semi-sweet chocolate chips on top for added texture and flavor.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs. Cool completely before slicing.
Notes
- To enhance the visual appeal, add sprinkles or edible glitter on top before baking.
- Ensure not to over-swirl to keep the marbled effect distinct.
- For an extra decadent touch, serve with whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
