- 8 small corn or flour tortillas
- Fresh toppings: shredded cabbage, diced tomatoes, sliced red onions, chopped cilantro, fresh lime wedges
- Optional: creamy sauce or aioli for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your skillet or cast-iron pan over medium-high heat. Brush the fish fillets with olive oil.
- Mix smoked paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, oregano, salt, and pepper in a small bowl. Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the fish.
- Carefully place the seasoned fish onto the hot skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the fish is cooked through and has a nice blackened crust.
- While the fish cooks, warm the tortillas either in a dry skillet or microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel.
- Chop fresh toppings such as shredded cabbage, tomatoes, onions, and cilantro. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the top for extra zing.
- Once the fish is ready, flake it into bite-sized pieces and assemble the tacos by placing fish on the tortillas, then topping with your choice of vegetables and sauces.
- Serve immediately, optionally drizzling with a creamy aioli or sauce for added flavor.
