- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into chunks
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 potatoes, diced
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add beef chunks and brown on all sides. Remove and set aside.
- Sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Stir in paprika and caraway seeds.
- Add beef back to the pot, pour in beef broth and diced tomatoes. Bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours until beef is tender.
- Add potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook for another 30 minutes until potatoes are soft.
- Serve hot with crusty bread or over noodles.
