Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped black olives (for “eyes” and accents)
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 1 package (10 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: hot sauce or sriracha for extra heat
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a mini muffin tin or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, chopped green onions, chili powder, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well integrated, creating a cheesy, spicy filling.
- Roll out the crescent roll dough and cut into small squares (~2 inches each). Place a spoonful of the cheese mixture in the center of each square.
- Carefully fold the dough over the filling and pinch to seal, forming a small pouch. If using a muffin tin, place each pouch into a muffin cup to hold its shape.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
- Once baked, let the bombs cool slightly. Then, carefully attach halved black olives on top to mimic the “eyes” of the Black Widow for a spooky effect.
Notes
- For a spicier version, add more chili powder or hot sauce to the cheese filling.
- Make ahead: Assemble the bombs and refrigerate before baking. Bake just before serving to enjoy the crispy texture.
- For vegan or dairy-free options, use plant-based cheeses and dairy-free creamed fillings.
