Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Juice of one lime
- Chopped fresh cilantro
- Sliced chili peppers
- Smoked salt for enhanced smoky flavor
Instructions
- In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, soy sauce, honey, smoked paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, onion powder, and lime juice.
- Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable bag or shallow dish, pour the marinade over them, and seal or cover.
- Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 375°F to 450°F).
- Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off excess.
- Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Char the chicken slightly for that iron flame appearance and intense flavor.
- Allow the grilled chicken to rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Garnish with chopped cilantro and sliced chili peppers for an extra fiery touch.
Notes
- Marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, for maximum flavor.
- Adjust the cayenne pepper according to your spice preference.
- Let the grilled chicken rest before slicing to retain juices and flavor.
