Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the dry ingredients: flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients: milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring gently until combined. Do not overmix to keep the donuts light and fluffy.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
- Using a donut cutter or two round cutters, cut out donut shapes from the batter.
