Ingredients
Scale
- 4 packets of unflavored gelatin
- 2 cups of blue sports drink or blue-colored fruit juice
- 1 cup of sugar (optional, for extra sweetness)
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice (for added tang)
- Food coloring (blue, if needed for desired vibrancy)
- Molds to shape your Blue Jello Cubes
- Silicone molds or large ice cube trays
Instructions
- In a small bowl, sprinkle the unflavored gelatin over 1 cup of cold water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until it blooms.
- Meanwhile, heat 2 cups of blue sports drink or fruit juice in a saucepan until just boiling.
- Remove from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin until completely dissolved. Add sugar if you prefer a sweeter taste.
- Mix in a teaspoon of lemon juice for a subtle tang, enhancing the overall flavor.
- If necessary, add a few drops of blue food coloring to achieve your desired Tesseract hue.
- Pour the mixture into your silicone molds or ice cube trays, filling each cavity evenly.
- Cool at room temperature for 15 minutes, then transfer to the refrigerator.
- Allow the Jello to set for at least 4 hours or overnight for best results.
Notes
- Keep your Blue Jello Cubes covered in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days to maintain freshness and vibrant color.
- For longer storage, freeze the cubes for up to a month, but note that freezing may slightly alter their texture.
