Instructions

  4. Alternately add dry ingredients and buttermilk to wet mixture, starting and ending with dry.
  5. Gradually add hot water, mixing until smooth.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely, then frost with your favorite dark chocolate frosting, decorating with silver accents if desired.
