Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs (900 g) chicken wings, split and skinless
- 1/2 cup hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot)
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (adjust for heat preference)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Optional: Blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a wire rack for crispier results.
- In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, and salt.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Rub the wings with olive oil and season evenly with the spice mixture.
- Arrange the wings on the baking sheet and bake for 40-45 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
- While wings are baking, prepare the spicy sauce by blending hot sauce and melted butter in a bowl.
- Once cooked, toss the hot wings in the spicy sauce until well coated.
- Serve immediately with celery sticks and your favorite dipping sauces like blue cheese dressing or ranch sauce.
Notes
- For extra crunch, consider frying the wings as an alternative cooking method.
- Adjust cayenne pepper to control the heat level.
- Serve with celery sticks and dipping sauces for the full experience.
