Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then add egg and vanilla, mixing well.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients until combined. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Cut out clock shapes using a round cutter, then add small rectangular pieces for the clock towers.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Allow to cool completely.
- Decorate with royal icing to resemble clock faces, adding numbers and hands, then paint with edible gold accents.

- Chill dough for 30 minutes before rolling for better shape retention.
- Use piping tips of various sizes for detailed decoration.
