- 4 beef patties (1/4 lb each)
- 4 hamburger buns with sesame seeds
- 8 slices cheddar cheese
- 1 cup fresh lettuce leaves
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1/2 cup crispy onion rings
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Season patties with salt and pepper.
- Grill patties for 4–5 minutes per side, topping with cheese slices during the last minute to melt.
- While patties cook, toast buns lightly on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the buns.
- Assemble burger by stacking a beef patty, lettuce, tomato slices, another patty, cheese, and onion rings. Cover with the top bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
