Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef (preferably 80/20 for juiciness)
- 4 slider buns or small brioche rolls
- 4 slices of cheddar or American cheese
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- Pickles or sliced jalapeños, optional
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter or oil for cooking
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Bacon strips
Instructions
- Preheat a skillet or grill: Get your cooking surface hot over medium-high heat to sear the beef patties.
- Form the beef: Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions and gently shape into small patties slightly larger than your slider buns.
- Cook the patties: Season with salt and pepper, then place on the skillet or grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side until well browned and cooked through.
- Toast the buns: While the patties cook, lightly butter the slider buns and toast until golden brown.
- Assemble the sliders: Place a slice of cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt. Spread ketchup and mustard on the buns, then add the cooked patties. Top with onions, pickles, bacon, and any additional toppings.
- Serve: Secure with toothpicks if needed, and serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add sliced jalapeños or pickles.
- Use a meat thermometer to ensure the beef is cooked to your preferred doneness.
- Toast the buns for a crispy texture that complements the juicy patties.
