- ¾ cup warm milk (110°F)
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- ½ teaspoon salt
- Black food coloring or black gel icing for coloring
- Gold-colored edible glitter or gold dust for decoration
- Optional: chocolate chips or chocolate glaze for added richness
- Rich chocolate or vanilla frosting
- Crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs (to mimic jungle terrain)
- Black and gold edible decorations
- Donut cutter or round cookie cutter
- Deep fryer or large pot for frying
- Cooling rack
- Piping bags and tips
- Food-safe brushes for applying edible glitter
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- Add melted butter, eggs, and a few drops of black food coloring. Mix well until uniform.
- Gradually incorporate the flour and salt, kneading until a smooth, elastic dough forms. Use a stand mixer or knead by hand.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Gently punch down the dough and roll it out on a floured surface to about ½ inch thickness.
- Use a donut cutter or two round cutters to shape into donut rings.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully fry the donuts in batches, turning once, until golden brown, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a cooling rack lined with paper towels.
- Once cooled, dip the donuts in chocolate glaze or spread with frosting.
- Use a food-safe brush or edible marker to add intricate black designs resembling the jaguar pattern and Black Panther symbol.
- Apply gold edible glitter or dust for a regal appearance.
- Add crushed cookie crumbs or graham cracker crumbs to mimic jungle terrain.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 24 hours.
- Reheat in microwave or oven before serving to restore freshness.
- For a shinier glaze, consider using tempered chocolate or mirror glaze.
- Decorate with edible gold dust or glitter immediately after glazing for best shine.
