  • 2 large butter croissants, fresh and freshly baked
  • 4 shots espresso (or strong brewed coffee)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar (optional, for dusting)
  • 1 small Tiffany blue gift box (decorative)

Instructions

  1. preheat oven to 375°f (190°c). place croissants on a baking sheet and bake for 5–7 minutes until warm and crisp.
  2. brew espresso and pour into two small espresso cups.
  3. arrange the warm croissants on a wooden board or large platter. slice one croissant in half crosswise, place back on board.
  4. add espresso cups, a small bowl of softened butter, and a decorative tiffany blue box nearby.
  5. optionally, dust top croissant with sugar before serving for a subtle sweetness.

  • use high-quality butter — it makes all the difference with this simple board.
  • for a dairy-free version, substitute plant-based butter and non-dairy milk coffee.
