- 8 slices of your favorite bacon
- 4 slices of bread (sourdough or multigrain recommended)
- 4 leaves of romaine lettuce, washed and dried
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- Mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Wash and dry the romaine lettuce thoroughly.
- Slice the tomato into ΒΌ-inch thick slices.
- Toast the bread to your desired level, then spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice. Layer lettuce, tomato, and bacon on two slices, season with salt and pepper, and top with the remaining slices.
Notes
- Add avocado slices for a creamy twist.
- Mix sriracha into mayonnaise for a spicy kick.
- Try arugula or spinach instead of romaine for different flavors.
- For a melty treat, add cheese and grill the sandwich.
