- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- Blue food coloring
- Flavor extract (optional, vanilla or mint)
Instructions
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Bring to a boil without stirring, and cook until the temperature reaches 300ยฐF (hard crack stage).
- Remove from heat and stir in blue food coloring and flavor extract if using.
- Pour the mixture onto a greased surface or silicone mold and let it cool until hardened.
- Break into shards resembling crystals to serve.

- Use a candy thermometer for accurate temperature.
- Be cautious as hot sugar can cause burns.
- Store in an airtight container to prevent moisture absorption.
