Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ripe avocados π₯
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice π
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 slices sourdough bread
- Olive oil for drizzling
- Red pepper flakes (optional)
- Microgreens for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start with perfectly ripe avocados. Cut them in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash the avocados with a fork until smooth. Add lime juice, chopped cilantro, salt, and black pepper to the mashed avocados, mixing well.
- Toast the sourdough bread until golden brown. You can use a toaster or a skillet with olive oil for added flavor.
- Spread a generous amount of the avocado mixture on each slice of toasted sourdough. Add extra seasoning if desired.
- Drizzle olive oil over the top, sprinkle with red pepper flakes if you like heat, and garnish with microgreens. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover components separately; the avocado mixture lasts a day, while the toasted bread should be kept at room temperature.
- Experiment with toppings like feta cheese or sliced radishes for added flavor.
