Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cans (14 oz each) of wild Alaskan salmon, drained
- 1/2 cup crushed crackers or bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley (optional)
- Oil for frying (vegetable or olive oil)
Instructions
- Begin by combining the drained Alaskan salmon in a large mixing bowl. Flake the salmon gently with a fork.
- Add crushed crackers or bread crumbs, chopped onion, eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and parsley into the bowl.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly until well combined. Adjust texture with additional crackers or mayonnaise as needed.
- Shape the mixture into 4-6 evenly sized patties.
- Heat a generous amount of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the salmon patties.
- Cook each side for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite sides or a fresh salad. For healthier frying, try using an air fryer.
Notes
- Chilling the mixture in the refrigerator for 30 minutes helps prevent the patties from falling apart.
- Use fresh or canned salmon based on preference; both work well.
- For a healthier option, bake the patties at 375°F for 15-20 minutes.
- Experiment with herbs or spice variations to customize the flavor.
