Ingredients
Scale
- 3 packs of flavored gelatin (preferably neon colors for a radioactive effect)
- 4 cups of boiling water
- 2 cups of cold water
- Fresh fruit (e.g., berries, kiwi, or mango – optional for added flavor and texture)
- Mini LED lights (optional, for a glow effect)
- Gelatin molds or clear plastic cups
- Waffle or cake for base (optional)
Instructions
- Start by boiling water and dissolving each packet of flavored gelatin according to package instructions. Pour each flavor into separate bowls.
- Add 1 cup of cold water to each bowl and mix well.
- Pour the first layer into your chosen mold or cups, filling about 1 inch deep. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes until set.
- Once the first layer is firm, carefully add the second layer (different color or flavor) and chill again until firm. Repeat this process until all layers are poured.
- For an authentic reactor effect, try slightly varying the colors to resemble the nuclear core’s glow.
Notes
- Use natural fruit juices for vibrant colors if you prefer to avoid artificial dyes.
- Ensure each layer is fully set before adding the next to prevent mixing.
- Embedding small fruit pieces between layers can add texture and flavor.
- Optional LED lights can be inserted underneath for a glowing reactor core effect.
