Experience the perfect balance of flavors with our Cobra Kai Miyagi-Do Noodle Stir-Fry! This dish combines fresh vegetables, noodles, and a savory sauce for a meal that’s both satisfying and exciting, inspired by the Karate Kid series.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz of your favorite noodles (such as ramen, udon, or soba)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup sliced carrots
  • 1 cup sliced bell peppers (various colors)
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, grated
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (optional, for added umami)
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the vegetables by washing and chopping them; slice the carrots, bell peppers, and mushrooms, and cut the broccoli into florets.
  2. Cook the noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and rinse with cold water.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat, add garlic and ginger, stirring for 30 seconds.
  4. Add broccoli, carrots, and bell peppers; stir-fry for 3-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Then add mushrooms and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Combine the cooked noodles with the vegetables, and mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Pour the sauce into the pan and stir until heated through.

Notes

  • Don’t Overcook the Noodles: Ensure they are al dente for the best texture.
  • Prep Ingredients Ahead: This will help with a smoother cooking experience.
  • High Heat is Key: It keeps vegetables crisp and helps the sauce thicken.
  • Customize the Sauce: Adjust ingredients to your taste for the perfect flavor.
