- 1 pound Italian sausage, sliced
- 1 1/2 cups orzo pasta
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add orzo pasta and sauté for 2 minutes.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes or until orzo is tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Cook until heated through and creamy.
- Season with salt and pepper. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

- You can substitute the sausage with cooked chicken or plant-based sausage for a vegan variation.
