- 1 lb (450g) cooked shredded chicken or pulled pork
- 1 cup Bourbon BBQ sauce
- 12 slider buns or mini brioche rolls
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
- 1 large onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- Pickles, for garnish (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Filling: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes. Set aside.
- Combine Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, mix shredded chicken or pork with Bourbon BBQ sauce until evenly coated.
- Assemble the Sliders: Slice buns in half. On the bottom half, add a scoop of the BBQ meat mixture, caramelized onions, and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese if desired.
- Finish and Serve: Top with pickles and the top bun. For a melted cheese effect, toast the sliders in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 5 minutes.

- You can substitute shredded chicken with pulled pork or brisket for different flavors.
- Adjust the bourbon BBQ sauce quantity for more or less saucy sliders.
- For a healthier option, opt for low-fat cheese or skip cheese altogether.
