  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, diced
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a 9-inch tart pan with bottom and side crust. Trim excess.
  2. In a bowl, toss apple slices with granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Let sit 10 minutes.
  3. Arrange apples in concentric circles inside the crust, packing tightly but evenly. Dot with diced butter.
  4. Cover with top crust, seal edges, and cut 3–4 slits for steam.Brush with egg wash and sprinkle with coarse sugar.
  5. Bake 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbling. Cool 20 minutes before removing from pan.
  6. Drizzle lightly with honey before serving.
