Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Cream together chilled butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Combine the flour mixture into the butter-sugar mix, adding milk, egg, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms.
- Knead gently on a floured surface, then roll out to 1-inch thick and cut into rounds.
- Brush tops with cream, bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with clotted cream and jam.
