  • Total Time: 27 minutes
  • Yield: 24 cookies

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups Reese’s Pieces candies
  • Optional: 1/2 cup chopped peanut butter cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the Reese’s Pieces candies and chopped peanut butter cups, if using.
  7. Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space between each.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a softer consistency, slightly under-bake the cookies and let them cool on the baking sheet.
  • Can substitute gluten-free flour for an allergen-friendly version.
  • To make vegan-friendly, use plant-based butter and check for vegan Reese’s Pieces.
