- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups Reese’s Pieces candies
- Optional: 1/2 cup chopped peanut butter cups
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy and smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the Reese’s Pieces candies and chopped peanut butter cups, if using.
- Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to drop dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving enough space between each.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- For a softer consistency, slightly under-bake the cookies and let them cool on the baking sheet.
- Can substitute gluten-free flour for an allergen-friendly version.
- To make vegan-friendly, use plant-based butter and check for vegan Reese’s Pieces.
