- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- Place chicken pieces in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix tomato sauce, garlic, spices, and butter, then pour over chicken.
- Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Stir in heavy cream before serving.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot over rice or with naan.
Notes
- You can substitute chicken thighs for breasts for extra tenderness.
- Add a pinch of chili powder for extra heat.
