Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- Extra melted butter for brushing
Instructions
- In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm milk; let sit until frothy, about 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and knead until smooth and elastic, about 8 minutes.
- Cover the dough and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Punch down the dough and divide into 12 equal pieces.
- Shape each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Mix minced garlic and chopped parsley into melted butter. Brush the rolls with garlic butter.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with more garlic butter before serving.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, for activating the yeast successfully.
- For extra flavor, add grated Parmesan or a sprinkle of rosemary before baking.
