Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 1/4 teaspoons)
- 1 1/2 cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Food coloring (black, gray, and white)
- Black sesame seeds and edible eyes for decoration
Instructions
- Activate the yeast by combining warm water, sugar, and yeast in a small bowl. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the activated yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Mix until the dough begins to form, then knead on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Divide the dough into two to three parts for shaping.
- Shape the dough into a wolf head and body, adding details like ears and snout. Use food coloring to add realistic fur textures, blending black, gray, and white.
- Decorate with black sesame seeds for eyes and add edible eyes for a more authentic look.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow the bread to cool slightly before serving.
