- 4 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the pears by peeling and slicing them, then mix with lemon juice, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Mix the pear filling until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, oats, granulated sugar, and salt, then mix in the softened butter until crumbly.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish. Pour the pear mixture into the dish and top with the crumble mixture. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Notes
- Store leftover crumble in the refrigerator for up to three days in an airtight container.
- Can be frozen for up to three months; reheat thoroughly before serving.
- For extra richness, serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
