- 1 cup buttermilk

Instructions
- Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt into a bowl.
- Beat the vegetable oil and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs, buttermilk, food coloring, vanilla extract, vinegar, and sifted dry ingredients to the mixture, then mix well.
- Pour the batter into prepared cake pans and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
- Once the cakes are baked and cooled, blend cream cheese and powdered sugar for the frosting and generously frost the cakes.
