  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1 cup strawberry jam
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tablespoons milk (for icing)
  • Sprinkles (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a large bowl. Add cubed butter and mix until resembling coarse crumbs. Gradually add cold water until the dough comes together. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to 1/8-inch thickness and cut into 3×4 inch rectangles.
  3. Place a tablespoon of strawberry jam in the center of half the rectangles, top with another rectangle, seal edges, and crimp with a fork.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake pop tarts on parchment paper for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Cool completely before icing.
  5. Whisk powdered sugar and milk in a bowl for icing. Drizzle over cooled pop tarts and add sprinkles. Let it set before serving.
