Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package directions until al dente.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté chopped onion and minced garlic until onions are translucent and garlic is fragrant.
- Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, dried basil, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper and bring the sauce to a simmer. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Drain the spaghetti and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the spaghetti evenly. Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
