Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add cold cubed butter and use a pastry cutter or fingers to blend until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Pour in milk and vanilla extract, stirring until dough just comes together.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times, then roll out to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- Cut into rounds using a cookie cutter and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–17 minutes until golden brown. Cool slightly before serving.
