Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (14 ounces) pizza dough
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup sliced pepperoni (optional)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- Marinara sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper. Roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 12×16 inches.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the rolled-out dough, leaving a small border at the edges. Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce and add pepperoni if desired.
- Starting from one end, tightly roll up the dough into a log and slice it into 1-inch thick rolls.
- Place the cheese pizza rolls onto the baking sheet, cut-side up. Brush with olive oil, sprinkle with garlic powder and oregano, and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
- Ensure your pizza dough is at room temperature for easier rolling.
- Distribute the sauce and cheese evenly to ensure each roll is flavorful.
- Roll the dough tightly to prevent the filling from spilling out during baking.
- Keep an eye on the pizza rolls while baking for perfect golden-brown color.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.
