- 1 lb chicken wings, tips removed and split
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp butter
- Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
- Toss wings with cornstarch, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, and olive oil.
- Arrange wings in a single layer on the rack. Bake for 20 minutes, flip, and bake 15–20 more minutes until golden and crispy.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer over medium heat. Stir in butter until melted and glossy.
- Toss hot wings in the glaze until fully coated.
- Garnish with thyme and serve with charred lemon wedges.
Notes
- For extra-crispy wings, freeze for 10 minutes after coating in cornstarch before baking.
- Double the glaze and reserve half for dipping.
- Vegetarian option: swap wings for pre-baked crispy cauliflower florets.
