- 2 large onions, sliced into rings
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Slice the onions into even rings for uniform cooking.
- In a bowl, mix flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Pour buttermilk in another bowl for dipping.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan. Dip each onion ring into buttermilk, dredge in the seasoned flour, and coat with breadcrumbs. Fry until golden brown.
- Drain fried onion rings on paper towels, serve hot with a dipping sauce, and enjoy!
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
- For longer storage, freeze the onion rings for up to a month and reheat in the oven.
