  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted

  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butterscotch chips
  • 1/4 cup milk (for filling)
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast in warm milk with a teaspoon of sugar. Let sit until frothy.
  2. Mix melted butter, sugar, salt, and yeast mixture. Add flour gradually to form a soft dough. Knead until smooth, then let rise until doubled in size.
  3. Roll out dough into a rectangle. Spread with milk, sprinkle brown sugar and butterscotch chips.
  4. Roll tightly, cut into 12 pieces. Place in a baking dish, let rise again until puffy.
  5. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Meanwhile, mix powdered sugar, softened butter, and milk to create frosting.
  7. Spread frosting over warm rolls and serve.
