- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Food coloring (black, purple, or deep blue)
- Edible glitter or shimmer dust
- Optional: edible star or planet-shaped sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease donut molds.
- Mix dry ingredients: flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, blend melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures until batter is consistent and lumps are gone.
- Add food coloring to create swirling galaxy effects, swirling with a toothpick.
- Pour batter into donut molds about 3/4 full.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely, then decorate with edible glitter and sprinkles for a cosmic finish.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
- For longer storage, refrigerate wrapped in plastic for up to a week.
- Decorate with additional edible glitter just before serving to enhance the cosmic shine.
