Instructions
- Chop the chocolate into small pieces and melt using a double boiler or microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Add the cocoa butter to the melted chocolate for a glossy finish, stirring well.
- Stir in the vanilla extract for enhanced flavor.
- Pour the melted chocolate into coin-shaped molds, filling each cavity to the top.
- Tap the molds gently on the counter to remove air bubbles.
- Place the molds in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or until the chocolates are fully set.
- Once hardened, carefully demold the chocolates.
- Using edible gold leaf or gold dust, gently apply the gold to each coin’s surface to mimic treasure.
- Optionally, decorate with crushed nuts or sprinkles for extra visual appeal.
