Safe, easy to make, and visually stunning, it’s an ideal activity for kids and adults alike who love dinosaurs and hands-on crafts.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 1 batch (approx. 1 cup of slime)

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup clear school glue (purchase here)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • Green food coloring or gel dye
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon contact lens solution (containing boric acid and sodium borate) (find it here)
  • Optional: glow-in-the-dark pigment for extra effect
  • Some plastic dinosaurs or dinosaur-themed toys for added fun

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the school glue and water, stirring thoroughly until smooth.
  2. Add a few drops of green food coloring or gel dye to the glue mixture. Mix well to get a vibrant green shade.
  3. Stir in the baking soda, which helps to make the slime stretchy and shiny.
  4. Slowly add the contact lens solution while continuously stirring. The slime will begin to form and pull away from the sides of the bowl.
  5. Once the slime reaches the desired consistency, knead it with your hands until it becomes smooth and pliable.
  6. For an authentic dinosaur spit appearance, add some glow-in-the-dark pigment or small dinosaur figures.
  7. Store your green goo slime in an airtight container when not in use. For more fun slime recipes, check out our Waffle Party Waffles.

Notes

  • Keep slime stored in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag.
  • Avoid direct sunlight and heat to prevent drying out.
  • If slime becomes sticky, knead in a little more contact lens solution to restore elasticity.
