Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine buttermilk, oil, eggs, vanilla, vinegar, and food coloring. Mix well.
  4. Pour wet ingredients into dry and stir until just combinedβ€”do not overmix.
  5. Fill donut cups 3/4 full. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Whisk glaze ingredients until smooth and vibrant blue. Dip cooled donuts and let excess drip off.
  8. Sprinkle immediately with shimmer dust, pearl sprinkles, and a pinch of sea salt.
