Ingredients
- 1 cup fruit juice (apple or grape recommended)
- 2 tablespoons unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/4 cup honey or corn syrup
- Green food coloring
- Gummy Gator mold
- Optional: edible glitter or sprinkles
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the fruit juice, honey (or corn syrup), and unflavored gelatin.
- Warm the mixture over low heat, stirring constantly until the gelatin completely dissolves. Do not boil.
- Add several drops of green food coloring until you reach the vibrant Gator green hue.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- Pour the mixture into the gummy Gator mold, filling each cavity evenly.
- Tap the mold gently to release air bubbles and place it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or until firm.
- Gently unmold the gummies by twisting the mold to loosen them.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
- For longer storage, refrigerate for up to two weeks.
- Lightly dust with cornstarch or powdered sugar to prevent stickiness if needed.
