- 2 pounds beef brisket or sirloin, cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh herbs for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add beef chunks and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove beef and set aside. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
- Stir in ground spices, cook for 1 minute to release aroma.
- Return beef to pot, pour in beef broth, season with salt and pepper.
- Cover and simmer on low heat for 2 hours, until beef is tender.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.

- You can substitute beef with lamb for a different flavor
- Serve with roasted vegetables or crusty bread
