- 2 lbs beef chuck roast
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Rub beef with spices, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in a Dutch oven, sear beef on all sides until browned.
- Add chopped onion and beef broth, cover.
- Bake in oven for 3 hours until tender.
Notes
- Can substitute beef with venison for a gamey flavor.
- Serve with rustic bread or mashed potatoes.
