Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional: edible rose petals or heart-shaped sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until smooth and fluffy. Add vanilla extract and a pinch of salt, mixing well.
- Gradually add the flour into the butter mixture, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about 1/4 inch thickness. Use heart-shaped or round cookie cutters to cut the dough into romantic shapes.
- Place the shaped cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are lightly golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on a wire rack. Decorate with edible rose petals or sprinkles for a romantic finishing touch.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
- For longer freshness, freeze in a sealed bag for up to one month.
- Chill the dough before rolling to prevent spreading.
