A rich and creamy classic deviled eggs recipe inspired by the vintage style of Mad Men era cocktails and gatherings.

  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Paprika, for garnish
  • Chopped chives, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat, cover, and let eggs sit for 10 minutes.
  3. Transfer eggs to ice water and cool completely, then peel and halve lengthwise.
  4. Remove yolks and transfer to a mixing bowl.
  5. Add mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, white vinegar, salt, and pepper to the yolks. Mix until smooth.
  6. Spoon or pipe the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.
  7. Sprinkle with paprika and chopped chives before serving.
