- 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 3-4 tablespoons ice water
- 1 cup mixed blackberries, raspberries, blueberries
- 1/2 cup berry jam
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Edible flowers and powdered sugar for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, powdered sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add ice water one tablespoon at a time until dough comes together. Shape into a disk, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out dough on a floured surface and fit into a tart pan. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden.
- In a saucepan, combine berry jam and lemon juice. Simmer until thickened. Pour into the cooled crust.
- Top with fresh berries and edible flowers. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- For a more intense berry flavor, use a mix of your favorite dark berries.
- Chill the tart thoroughly to set the filling before decorating with berries and flowers.
