Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine Greek yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, and all spices—cumin, paprika, turmeric, coriander, and cinnamon. Mix well.
- Add chicken pieces, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat or an air fryer. Remove chicken from marinade and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 8-10 minutes.
- Slice the cooked shawarma thinly. Warm pita or flatbread.
- Layer with fresh vegetables, sliced shawarma, hummus, and garlic sauce. Add pickles and tahini if desired.
