Ingredients
Scale
- 4 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Vanilla ice cream, for serving
Instructions
- Start by washing the fresh peaches thoroughly. Remove the skins and then slice them into thin pieces.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Let it rest for about 15 minutes.
- In another bowl, mix flour, milk, melted butter, baking powder, and salt until well combined. Pour this mixture into a greased baking dish and then layer the peach filling on top.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the cobbler for about 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
Notes
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
- You can freeze the cobbler for up to 3 months, ensuring it is wrapped well to prevent freezer burn.
- For extra richness, serve with whipped cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
