Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup chopped mixed nuts (preferably walnuts and pecans)
- 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13 inch baking pan by lining it with parchment paper or greasing it with butter.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar. Beat in the eggs one at a time until fully incorporated. Add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually fold this dry mixture into the wet ingredients until smooth.
- Gently fold in chopped nuts and chocolate chips into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out moist with crumbs.
- Allow the brownies to cool completely before slicing to ensure clean presentation.
Notes
- For extra crunch, sprinkle additional nuts on top before baking.
- Make sure not to overbake to keep brownies moist and fudgy.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days.
- Refrigerate for up to a week or freeze for longer storage.
